I can imagine myself in your position. I grew up with several family members who were affected by psychiatric problems, and I often accompanied them when they sought treatment. I saw the stigma of mental illness then, and I still see it today. I also saw the need for compassionate healthcare providers, and that’s why I became a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.

I have roots in Jamaica, and I cherish the Jamaican motto, “Out of many, one people.” This has shaped my worldview in that I was raised to love people of all colors, shapes, sizes, religions, genders, and sexual orientations. In my spare time, I embrace self-care by spending quality time with my son and vacationing in my favorite island spot, Bimini, Bahamas.
